Apple’s iPhone 17 series has received major price cuts ahead of the iPhone 18 launch. Foreign media reports that Apple will unveil the iPhone 18 and its new foldable iPhone on September 9. Retailers in several countries have started offering discounts to clear existing iPhone 17 inventory. The price cuts come as stores prepare for the arrival of Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup.
Amazon UK has increased discounts across several iPhone 17 models. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max now cost £150, or over Rs. 56,000, less than their launch prices. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 has received a £100 discount. That equals more than Rs. 37,000. The 512GB iPhone Air has also become £200 cheaper, representing savings of over Rs. 112,000.
Similar discounts have appeared across several European markets. Prices for the iPhone 17 series have dropped by €100 to €150. In Pakistani currency, those reductions range from around Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 50,000.
According to Forbes, Apple may discontinue the current iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models after September 9. As a result, these discounts could offer one of the final opportunities to purchase the current Pro models.
However, buyers considering the upcoming generation may face higher prices. Reports suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro could cost $100 to $200 more than current models.
The sharp discounts highlight how retailers are making room for Apple’s next major iPhone launch. More details about the iPhone 18 lineup are expected closer to the September 9 announcement.
