A new leak has revealed key display details for Apple’s expected early 2027 iPhone lineup. The latest information comes from a Weibo source known for sharing smartphone leaks. Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra in September. After that, the company could launch more models in spring 2027, possibly in April.
According to the leak, Apple plans to unveil the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 during that second launch window. The standard iPhone 18 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display. It will reportedly offer a “1.5K” resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen size matches the current iPhone 17.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 18e is said to include a 6.12-inch LTPS OLED display. It will also feature a “1.5K” resolution. However, it will maintain a 60Hz refresh rate rather than switch to 120Hz. The display is only 0.02 inches larger than the one used in the iPhone 17e. Although the increase is small, it marks a slight change in screen size.
The leak also claims the iPhone Air 2 will feature a 6.55-inch LTPO OLED display. Like the standard iPhone 18, it is expected to support a “1.5K” resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Compared to the original iPhone Air, the new model’s display is 0.05 inches larger. However, the refresh rate remains the same as the previous generation.
The latest details also suggest Apple will not change the refresh rates across these models. As a result, the iPhone 18e will likely continue using a 60Hz panel.
This means users waiting for the first “e” series iPhone with a 120Hz display may have to wait longer. Apple has not confirmed any of these details, so the information should be treated as a rumor until the company makes an official announcement.
