The iQOO 16 could launch between December 15 and 17, according to a new leak shared on X. The phone was unveiled in China in late September, and iQOO confirmed its plans to bring the device earlier this month.
If the reported timeline is accurate, buyers will face a longer wait than last year. The iQOO 15 was announced in China on October 20, 2025, before its international rollout began in India on November 26. This time, the gap between the Chinese launch and Indian debut could reach around two and a half months.
Pricing remains another key question. The iQOO 16 starts at CNY 5,999 (about $894) in China. An earlier rumor suggested its Indian price could approach INR 100,000 ($1,039). That would mark a significant increase over the iQOO 15, which launched in India at INR 72,999 ($766).
The iQOO 16 features a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 AMOLED display with a 1440×3168 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 10,000-nit peak brightness. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
For photography, the phone includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. A 32MP camera handles selfies and video calls.
The device also packs an 8,400 mAh battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. On the software side, the phone runs OriginOS 7, based on Android 17.
