The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has proposed introducing a top-up health package for government employees under the Sehat Card Plus program.
The proposal was discussed during a meeting chaired by KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to review measures aimed at making the province’s healthcare program more organized, effective, and financially sustainable.
Officials proposed increasing health coverage for costly medical treatments under the Sehat Card Plus program. The meeting also discussed revising service rates to improve the delivery of healthcare services.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said the government’s objective is to improve access to quality healthcare across the province.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to reform and modernize basic health centers so that people can access essential healthcare facilities closer to their homes.
The chief minister directed relevant authorities to ensure that health-related matters are addressed without unnecessary delays and that healthcare services remain accessible to citizens.
Afridi also instructed officials to take effective measures to prevent misuse of the Sehat Card facility.
The government is reviewing the program to improve its effectiveness and sustainability while ensuring that healthcare resources reach eligible beneficiaries.
