The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has signed a memorandum of understanding MoU with Lahore Development Authority (LDA) under which the technology board will cooperate with LDA to develop an e-permit system for the public.

Through the e-permit system, people could submit their applications for approval of designs for their residential, commercial and warehouses in the city. These applications can be submitted at the e-Khidmat Centres and websites, established by the PITB.

LDA Director General Amna Imran and PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor signed the document during a ceremony held at the Arfa Technology Park Lahore. The MoU will be executed after approval of the LDA governing body.

DG LDA during her visit to the technology park commended e-Khidmat Markaz for their seamless delivery of citizen-centric services. The e-permit system will allow applicants to submit their applications via LDA One Window Service Centre, 2 e-Khidmat centers in Lahore and PITB’s websites. Amna Imran said that the e-permit system would facilitate people more effectively to get applications approved quickly.

PITB recently signed an MoU with the IT department of Balochistan to provide technical assistance to the IT department of Balochistan and to replicate all of its flagship projects including e-Khidmat Markaz, e-FOAS, HRIMS and the latest smart system to monitor the progress in the development projects.

These collaborations of the technology board with different departments of Pakistan will bring a revolutionary change in the services of government institutes and will help them to serve Pakistani citizens in a better more effective way.
