Matric Exam Papers Leaked Again in Karachi, Larkana, and Shikarpur

Despite strict exam protocols and the imposition of Section 144, reports of matriculation paper leaks have once again surfaced from multiple cities in Sindh, including Karachi, Larkana, and Shikarpur.
According to sources, the leak of examination papers has become a thriving business in Karachi, with question papers being sold via WhatsApp for as little as Rs800, often well before the official exam time. Students can reportedly access these papers as early as midnight, leaving the integrity of the examination process in question.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has so far failed to act against the so-called “booti mafia,” who are reportedly operating freely. No meaningful crackdown has been initiated against those responsible, raising concerns about the transparency and effectiveness of current oversight mechanisms.
On-ground reports indicate that students are openly using mobile phones during exams, leveraging social media platforms to receive solved answers, particularly for science subjects like Chemistry. In several examination centers, invigilators and officials appear to be either unaware or unwilling to intervene.
The situation is no different in Shikarpur, where the Class 9 Chemistry paper was reportedly circulated on social media ahead of time. Students also faced additional challenges due to prolonged power outages and the unavailability of clean drinking water during exams.
Meanwhile, staff from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Shaheed Benazirabad has come under fire for allegedly turning a blind eye to the widespread malpractice. Vigilance teams reportedly made only symbolic visits to exam centers, failing to enforce anti-cheating measures.
