The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP), Motorway Central-I Zone, has registered three FIRs in separate incidents involving serious traffic violations and a cash-dropping scam.
According to NHMP spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmad, officers intercepted a vehicle near Pirmahal on the M-3 for allegedly travelling at 174 km/h. Legal action was initiated against the driver, and an FIR was registered at Police Station Rajana in Toba Tek Singh.
In another incident, NHMP officers stopped an overloaded trailer near Nankana Sahib on the M-3. The vehicle was found carrying weight above the permissible limit, after which the driver was handed over for legal proceedings. An FIR was registered at Police Station Sharqpur Sharif in Sheikhupura.
A separate case involving a cash-dropping scam at the Sial More Service Area also resulted in an FIR at Police Station Laksian, Sargodha.
The NHMP spokesperson said the Motorway Police is taking action to improve compliance with traffic laws, protect road users, and prevent criminal activities on motorways and national highways.
