OnePlus has officially teased the OnePlus 16 for the Chinese market. The company has also confirmed some key details about the upcoming flagship. In a post on Weibo, OnePlus said the OnePlus 16 is coming soon. A recent leak claimed that the phone could be unveiled in October.
OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 16 will run Android 17-based ColorOS 17. The company also revealed support for a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate. The 165Hz rate matches earlier reports about the phone’s display. However, a newer leak claims that OnePlus could use an even faster 185Hz AMOLED panel.

The phone could also use the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. It is also expected to pack a large 9,000mAh battery. OnePlus has yet to confirm the remaining specifications. More details are expected as the company moves closer to the phone’s launch in China.
