Pakistan recorded a trade surplus of approximately $480 million with the United States during the first two months of fiscal year 2026-27, with the US remaining the country’s largest export market.
According to official documents, Pakistan exported around $1.17 billion worth of goods to the US during July and August 2026, while imports from the American market stood at approximately $690 million.
Pakistan’s exports to the US increased by 10.46% year-on-year during the period. However, imports from the United States recorded a much sharper increase of around 144% compared with the same period last year.
Despite the substantial rise in imports, Pakistan maintained a positive trade balance with the US during the first two months of FY27.
The United States continues to play a major role in Pakistan’s external trade and remains the country’s largest export destination.
Pakistan recorded a trade surplus of approximately $2.59 billion with the United States during fiscal year 2025-26.
During the full fiscal year, Pakistan’s exports to the US stood at around $5.91 billion, while imports from the country reached approximately $3.32 billion.
The latest figures indicate that trade ties between Pakistan and the United States remain significant, with American demand continuing to provide an important source of export earnings for Pakistan.
