Pixel 4 specs leaked ahead of official debut
Google is planning to launch its brand-new phone, the Pixel 4, in just a couple of days from now at its October 15th event in New York City. However, many of the phone’s key specs have already been revealed through a pre-order page for Best Buy Canada. The mega electronics chain put up a page to collect pre-orders for the highly anticipated device, and then promptly took it down to avoid leaking information. The damage had already been done, and we now have a very good idea about the performance of the upcoming phone.
The Pixel 4 is a flagship device, so it comes as no surprise that it will come equipped with a top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, along with a confirmed 6 GB of RAM to make the best use of it. The phone will also feature a smooth, high-refresh display to keep up with competitors like the OnePlus 7 series, as well as Quick Gestures and hands-free controls. The Pixel 4 will be using a dual rear camera setup, with a 12-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel telephoto, much like its bigger sibling, the Pixel 4 XL. The Pixel has built a reputation on stellar picture quality so you can bet these cameras will be top-notch. The cameras appear to be arranged in a square patch in the renders, a little bit like the iPhone 11 Pro.
Color options offered by Best Buy include black and white, but another coral-colored option is also expected to be offered. Storage ranges from 64 GB to 128 GB, and there is no word on price or availability yet.
