Punjab Education Department has directed all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Education to retain the conveyance allowance of teachers participating in English Language Training during the summer holidays.
Under the directive from the department, teachers attending the training will be treated as being on official duty, making them exempt from the standard deduction of conveyance allowance that applies during summer vacations.
Previously, conveyance allowances were routinely withheld from all teachers during the summer break. The new directive exempts those enrolled in English Language Training from this deduction.
