Samsung has started rolling out the June 2026 Android security update for the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold7. This update brings important system improvements along with new Galaxy AI features. These features were first introduced with the Galaxy S26 series.
Interestingly, some of these AI tools were not available in the earlier One UI 8.5 stable version for the S25 lineup. Now, Samsung has added them through this latest security update. This shows the company is slowly expanding Galaxy AI support to older devices.
The Galaxy S25 series has received three new Galaxy AI features. These include prioritizing notifications, summarizing notifications, and filing summaries. However, the Galaxy Z Fold7 has received only two of them. It includes prioritized notifications and file summaries.
The Prioritize Notifications feature helps users manage alerts more easily. Important notifications are shown first on the screen. Galaxy AI decides importance based on message content and user activity patterns. As a result, users can avoid missing urgent updates.
In addition, the File Summaries feature makes daily tasks simpler. It creates short AI-generated summaries of PDF and TXT files. Moreover, it also works with voice recordings from the Voice Recorder app. This helps users understand long content quickly without reading everything.
On the other hand, the Summarize Notifications feature is available only on the Galaxy S25 series. It provides quick highlights of incoming alerts. This allows users to understand messages without opening each notification.
The June 2026 Android security update for the Galaxy Z Fold7 comes with firmware version F966NKSUABZF1. Currently, the update is rolling out in South Korea. However, it is expected to reach more regions soon.
Some users in South Korea may not have received the update yet. In that case, they can check it manually. They need to go to Settings and open the Software Update menu. From there, they can search for the latest update.
