Samsung Galaxy A8s is the company’s first smartphone with the punch-hole display but it is currently only available in China. According to recent filings with the FCC and Wi-Fi Alliance, Samsung may launching a variant of the A8s for the rest of the world very soon. The current A8s in China has a model number of SM-G887 whereas the new model is SM-G887N. The N models are usually reserved for Samsung’s home country South Korea but we are hoping that it is the first step towards an international rollout.

The Samsung Galaxy A8s is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 2.2GHz Octa-Core Processor with 6/8GB RAM configuration and 128GB expandable storage. It has 3 back cameras with 24MP, 10MP and 5MP sensors with auto-focus and depth sensing capabilities. At the front inside the punch-hole, we have a 24MP selfie snapper. The display is 6.4 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels amounting to a pixel density of 403ppi. The battery is non-removable with a capacity of 3400 mAh. The phone is available in Blue, Gray or Black color.

By all accounts, the phone is a mid-ranger with balanced specifications. If released worldwide, it could probably have a price around $450 to $500 considering this Samsung’s first phone with the Infinity-O display. We can say that the phone will surely launch in South Korea based upon the above filings but it might take some time for it to reach other markets.
