The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation has launched a new scholarship program under the Overseas Pakistanis Education Fund (OPEF) to support children and spouses of overseas Pakistanis pursuing higher education.
The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on families by providing assistance for students enrolled in intermediate, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs, including professional fields such as MBBS, BDS, engineering, and master’s-level studies.
Officials said applicants must have secured at least 60 percent marks or a 2.5 CGPA in their most recent examinations to qualify.
To be eligible, either a parent or spouse must be a registered member of the OPF through a Protector of Emigrantsregistration, while the applicant’s family income must be below Rs200,000 per month.
The program also states that candidates receiving another scholarship during the same academic year will not qualify, while children of deceased OPF members may apply under special compassionate provisions.
The scholarship initiative is intended to expand educational opportunities for families of overseas Pakistanis and support access to quality education.
