A couple of Xiaomi phones launched in the last quarter, namely Mi 6 and Mi Max 2, run Android Nougat out of the box. But there are a number of Xiaomi phones launched in the last year which debuted with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Users who bought those phones have been pining to get their hands on the new goodies that newer android version brings.
Xiamoi has announced that Nougat update is coming for older generations of both Redmi Note and Mi series of devices. According to MIUI team China, here’s a status of all the Xiaomi phones which are slated to receive the update this year.
Although there isn’t any mention of Redmi 4A in the list propagated by MIUI team China, there’s a solid chance that it will receive the Nougat update sometime later this year.
