Oppo has confirmed that the Reno17 series will launch in China on November 9. The announcement was made on Weibo, ending weeks of rumors and teasers about the upcoming smartphones. The company also confirmed that the devices will be available in stores on launch day. This will allow customers to experience the new phones in person before making a purchase.
Oppo has already opened blind pre-orders for the Reno17 and Reno17 Pro. Meanwhile, early leaks suggest both phones could bring major upgrades over their predecessors.
According to recent reports, the standard Reno17 could feature an 8,000mAh battery. The Reno17 Pro is tipped to pack a smaller 7,200 mAh battery due to its more compact design. Both models are also expected to feature a 200MP rear camera, likely serving as the main sensor.
Additionally, a separate report suggests Oppo has redesigned the camera system. The new setup could support the Hasselblad teleconverter kit introduced with the Find X10 series last month. However, Oppo has yet to confirm these camera details.
For now, the November 9 event is confirmed only for China. However, the Reno17 series could reach global markets before the holiday season. Oppo has not shared any details about its international launch plans yet.
