WhatsApp seems to be testing out a visual refresh, but it’s not quite there yet. The company has given no official word, but early signs indicate a new look is already in the works. Based on reports and user feedback, the update appears to be more of a minor design tweak than a total change.
Back in late 2025, users noticed early hints of change in the beta version of the app. These updates followed the Liquid Glass design style that Apple recently introduced in its latest iOS. At that time, small interface elements began to change, and the main chat screen also showed minor adjustments.
Now, a fresh report from the source reveals that WhatsApp is close to introducing a redesigned in-chat interface. Interestingly, this updated design is not yet available to beta users. However, the source managed to enable the feature and shared a preview of what is coming next.
The new interface includes a floating chat bar, which changes how users interact during conversations. In addition, a translucent navigation bar gives the app a cleaner and more modern appearance. These updates suggest that WhatsApp aims to improve both usability and visual appeal.
Even so, users should not expect an immediate rollout. Meta appears to be taking a careful and slow approach with this redesign. Many users still do not see any of these changes, which indicates a gradual release plan.
As a result, the full redesign may take more time before it reaches everyone. Most likely, WhatsApp will release the update to all users only after final testing is complete.
