The Xiaomi 18 is expected to launch in September, according to recent rumors. A new leak from China has now revealed early display details. The phone is said to feature a 6.4-inch flat screen. This is slightly larger than the 6.3-inch panel on its predecessor. It will also keep the same 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The display is reportedly moving to a “2K” resolution. This marks an upgrade over the Xiaomi 17. The screen may also include ultra-narrow bezels and large, rounded corners for a modern look.
Battery improvements are also being discussed. The capacity is expected to start with the number 7. One source on Weibo suggested a possible 7,800 mAh battery. However, it could also be around 7,000 mAh. Even at 7,000 mAh, the upgrade is significant. The Xiaomi 17 currently uses a 6,330 mAh battery. This shows a clear jump in endurance focus.
Camera details for the standard model remain unclear. However, DCS reports that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will feature dual 200MP cameras. Both the main and telephoto sensors are expected to use 200MP resolution.
Earlier reports also suggested the standard Xiaomi 18 may get a 200MP telephoto camera. At the same time, it is likely to keep a 50MP main camera, similar to the Xiaomi 17.
As a result, Xiaomi 18 is shaping up as a strong upgrade in display, battery, and camera hardware across the lineup.
