Xiaomi has finally unveiled the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in a live event today. It is the successor of the original bezel less Xiaomi Mi Mix. The Mi Mix 2 has a smaller display than the original device. The original phone has a 6.4-inch display and the Mi Mix 2 has a 5.9-inch display with 2160 x 1080 resolution.

The bezel less display is the phone’s main strength. The newer version has 12% reduced bottom bezel than the last year’s Mi Mix. The front glass of the phone is curved on all sides which makes the phone look more beautiful. It does not have a headphone jack and comes with USB C port.

It comes with 3,400mAh battery. Strangely the battery is a lot less than the last year’s Mi Mix, but we have to wait and see how good the battery performs in day to day use. The phone supports QuickCharge 3.0 to juice it up quickly. Moreover, the phone has 43 LTE bands which make it a global LTE smartphone.

The chipset included is the flagship Snapdragon 835 with Octa-core (4×2.45 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) CPU and Adreno 540 GPU. It comes in either 64/128/256 GB storage with 6 GB RAM or 128GB storage with 8 GB of RAM.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features a single 12MP camera with phase detection auto focus(PDA) and optical image stabilization(OIS). The camera can record 4 videos and 720p@120fps slo mo videos. The front camera is 5 MP.

The phone will be available in black and white colors and the price will start from $500 (PKR 55,000).
