Xiaomi’s next foldable smartphone has surfaced in a new leak, revealing several key details about its hardware and expected price. The device is believed to succeed the Mix Fold 4 and could launch later this year as the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 or Xiaomi 17 Fold.
According to the leak, Xiaomi is testing a foldable prototype featuring a 7.5-inch to 7.6-inch flexible display. The screen is also said to use a new “seamless-crease” technology designed to make the fold line less noticeable.
The leak suggests that battery life could be one of the device’s major highlights. Xiaomi is reportedly planning to equip the foldable with a battery of around 6,000mAh. The phone is also expected to support wireless charging, offering users greater convenience.
In the camera department, the upcoming foldable could feature a powerful 200MP sensor. Xiaomi may also provide full water-resistance protection, making the device more durable for everyday use. Meanwhile, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner is expected to handle biometric security.
Another notable detail involves Xiaomi’s chip development efforts. The company is reportedly working on a custom in-house Xring chipset for the foldable. If accurate, the move would further strengthen Xiaomi’s push toward developing its own hardware ecosystem.
Pricing details have also emerged through the leak. According to the tipster, Xiaomi’s next-generation foldable could carry a price tag of around CNY 10,000. That converts to approximately $1,400.
While Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any of these specifications, recent appearances in the Mi Code database and multiple leaks suggest that the company is actively preparing its next premium foldable device. More details are expected to surface in the coming months as the launch approaches.
