Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next Note device, the Redmi Note 5. Redmi Note 4 was a huge success for the company and people loved it. Note 4 was the most sold phone at the recent sale in India.

According to the reports, the Redmi Note 5 is in works and it is expected to come with a Snapdragon 660 chipset and dual cameras. If the rumors turn out to be true, this will be the first Redmi phone to come with a dual camera setup. This looks like a very good upgrade over the Redmi Note 4 and price is expected to remain same.

Moreover, this will be the first time a company will be using Snapdragon 660 in a budget smartphone. Previously it was expected that Xiaomi will be using Snapdragon 630 for the Redmi Note 5 as an updated chipset but it would be a great surprise if it uses the Snapdragon 660.

We’ll have to wait for the official announcement to see if the rumors are true.
