Written by TechJuice ·  2 min read >

Imagine browsing through pictures of food, you tap on the one you like and viola, it magically appears in front of you in a mouth-watering, ready-to-eat form! Sounds like a scene from Sci-Fi, but worry not, technology has brought this idea closer to reality. Now, you can order food from the best restaurants in your city on your doorstep or scroll through different options to visit a place with your friends & family for Iftar dinners. Here is a list of apps that can assist you in grabbing a bite if you live in Pakistan:

1. Tossdown

Tossdown is a brilliant food guide app if one wants to go out to eat. You can explore and discover so many places to dine in Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar which are further categorized by areas in the cities. It is a fine option to find menus of various different restaurants at one place. The site also features special tips, reviews and photos shared by other foodies. Other than the location and contact details the available facilities, like Wi-Fi and parking, are also mentioned. There’s an option of online reservations with exclusive discounts for some restaurants and bakeries (for “Khaba” card holders). You are hungry and want to know quickly about eating places nearby? Just tap on the map view to see all the eateries that are located close to you.

Tossdown recently gave a huge overhaul to their iOS app which now offers a variety of Ramadan deals. Currently, the deals are only limited to the iOS app but the Android app is still a work in progress. It is worth checking the site and the iOS app for some really great deals.

2. FoodPanda

Fuss-free online food ordering from dozens of the best restaurants located in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad & Rawalpindi. The process is simple; browse (nearby restaurants and their menus), order, get it delivered to your home, office or any place from the delivery locations offered. While searching through the cafés and restaurants the results can be filtered by cuisines, prices and a few other options. As with all the online food deliveries, it’ll spare you the hassle of placing an order by phone and having to talk to the restaurant staff explaining to them what you want.

The app also mentions the minimum order amount for delivery from each restaurant, delivery fees (if any), estimated delivery times as well as users reviews about the restaurants.
