The Lahore Board past papers ban has been officially enforced, prohibiting the online sharing of Matric and Intermediate exam papers. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has warned that individuals posting past or guess papers on social media will face legal consequences under the PECA Act, including fines and imprisonment.
The Controller of Examinations has notified educational institution heads about the policy amid growing concerns over the circulation of past papers in WhatsApp groups and other online platforms by public and private school teachers.
Under this enforcement, violators could face up to three years in prison and a Rs50,000 fine. The Lahore Board past papers ban is part of a broader effort to maintain the integrity of the examination system and prevent the unauthorized distribution of exam materials.
Authorities have emphasized their commitment to strict enforcement of the ban under PECA law, ensuring that legal action deters further violations.
