The Pakistan Army has won the gold medal at Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025 in Wales, United Kingdom, in what the military described as a proud moment for the nation and its armed forces.
Held from October 3 to 13, the annual Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025 is recognized as one of the world’s toughest military endurance competitions. Participating teams navigate through rough terrain, covering nearly 60 kilometers within 48 hours while completing specialized military tasks in a simulated combat environment.
This year marked the 66th edition of the prestigious event, which featured 137 teams from 36 countries. The Pakistan Army contingent, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, won the gold medal for outstanding tactical performance, teamwork, and endurance.
“Pakistan Army’s Team has won Gold Medal in Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025 held at Wales, UK,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated. “It is indeed a proud moment for the whole Nation and Pakistan Army, known for its professionalism and highest standards of training.”
The ISPR further noted that the competition maintained its rigorous standards, testing participants’ endurance, coordination, and operational readiness under extreme conditions. It added that the Pakistan Army remains committed to upholding its tradition of excellence in international military events.
Organized annually by the British Army since 1959, the Cambrian Patrol is often described as “the Olympic Games of military patrolling,” attracting teams from both NATO and non-NATO countries.
Pakistan has consistently performed well in previous editions, earning several top honors that highlight the country’s strong emphasis on discipline, skill, and professional training within its armed forces.
