Samsung’s Tri-Fold Smartphone Hits Bluetooth Certification, Hinting at Global Release
Samsung’s much-anticipated tri-fold smartphone is edging closer to an official launch. Although the device was first showcased in late October, it has yet to be formally announced. Recent developments suggest that the wait may soon be over, as the phone has reportedly appeared in the Bluetooth SIG certification database.
The listing reveals multiple model numbers, including SM-D6390, SM-D639N, SM-D639U, SM-D639U1, and SM-D639B. These variations indicate that Samsung is likely preparing a broad geographical rollout, covering regions such as North America, China, and Korea.
Traditionally, the model ending in “B” represents Samsung’s global version. While this does not confirm the exact number of countries for the initial launch, it suggests that the tri-fold device may not be restricted to a few markets. Alternatively, the wider availability could follow shortly after release.
Earlier reports hinted that the phone might debut in the US only next year. With less than two months remaining in 2025, the official announcement has yet to arrive. Samsung fans will likely have to wait a little longer, but this certification hints that a formal release could be imminent.
