The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority has strongly rejected allegations questioning the integrity of EPADS, terming them baseless and misleading.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the authority clarified that EPADS (Electronic Pakistan Acquisition and Disposal System) adheres to international protocols and standards for data protection and security.
He further explained that the system was developed with technical support from the World Bank and has undergone security audits by international experts, ensuring its reliability, credibility, and effectiveness.
Describing EPADS as a project of strategic national importance, the spokesperson said it aligns with the government’s Digital Pakistan vision and the country’s commitments to transparency in public procurement.
The authority emphasized that EPADS maintains transparency at every stage through a comprehensive audit trail and secure documentation processes.
PPRA also encouraged stakeholders to formally report any evidence of malpractice, assuring that strict action would be taken against proven violations. However, it warned that unverified allegations without evidence could harm ongoing public procurement reforms and mislead the public.
