The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has set April 29 as the official start date for the annual intermediate examinations of 2026 across the city.
Board Chairman Ghulam Hussain Lakho made the announcement, confirming that the first phase of exams will commence on that date for all registered candidates.
Admit cards for all private candidates have already been dispatched and sent directly to their registered residential addresses by the board.
Candidates who have not received their admit cards are advised to visit the board office on April 27 to collect them in person.
Students must bring a fee receipt, registration card, or matriculation mark sheet when visiting the board office to obtain their admit cards.
The board has completed all preparations for Science group examinations, covering both the Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering streams for 2026 candidates.
Arrangements for the General Group have also been finalised alongside full preparations made for Arts Regular and Home Economics candidates.
The board has confirmed that all necessary measures are in place to ensure examinations are conducted in a transparent and organised manner.
The Board of Secondary Education Karachi had previously revised its SSC examination schedule, with those exams having already started from April 10.
BIEK had originally planned SSC exams from April 7 to May 2 but revised dates after issues arose during a transition from manual to digital systems.
