OnePlus is set to expand its Ace series with a new high-performance device, the Ace 6 Ultra, and the company has now locked in its launch timeline. The smartphone will arrive in China on April 28, and it will share the stage with a purpose-built gaming controller designed specifically for this device.
The upcoming Ace 6 Ultra is clearly aimed at mobile gamers. OnePlus is introducing a controller that doubles as a protective case, adding both functionality and comfort. This accessory includes four physical buttons placed on the back, offering a responsive experience with a 1,000Hz polling rate. It also supports a magnetic cooling fan, which should help manage heat during long gaming sessions.
To improve usability, the controller comes with ergonomic grips that make extended gameplay easier on the hands. It also includes a USB Type-C port at the bottom for charging or connectivity, along with a built-in gaming antenna to ensure a stable connection during online matches.
On the hardware side, OnePlus has already confirmed several key specifications. The Ace 6 Ultra will run on the Dimensity 9500 chipset, positioning it among the more powerful Android devices in its segment. The display will support a 165Hz refresh rate, which should deliver smoother visuals, especially in fast-paced games.
Battery life also appears to be a strong focus. The device packs an 8,600mAh battery and supports 120W wired charging, allowing users to recharge quickly. For photography, the phone includes a 50MP primary rear camera sensor.
Durability has not been overlooked either. The Ace 6 Ultra carries up to an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance. On the software side, it will run Android 16-based ColorOS 16, bringing the latest features and optimizations to the device.OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra Launch Date and Key Specs Officially Confirmed
