Blizzard is bringing Sanctuary back to Future Earth. The highly anticipated Overwatch x Hatred’s Reckoning event kicks off in just three days. It runs from April 28 through May 18, 2026. This major crossover celebrates the release of Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred expansion, which also launches this Tuesday.
Players can expect a mix of brand-new cosmetics, returning fan favorites, and lucrative Twitch drops.
Five New Class-Inspired Skins
The crossover introduces five new skins for your favorite heroes. You can purchase these directly from the in-game shop. The lineup includes:
- Mephisto Ramattra
- Warlock Lifeweaver
- Druid Mauga
- Paladin Brigitte
- Rogue Freja
Additionally, Blizzard is bringing back premium cosmetics from the 2023 Halloween Terror event. You can grab Lilith Moira, Inarius Pharah, Imperius Reinhardt, and Gilded Hunter Sombra. You can buy these individually, in matching bundles, or as one massive mega bundle. However, some past skins like Azmodan Wrecking Ball and Cleric Lifeweaver will not return this time.
Overwatch x Diablo 4: Free Rewards & Twitch Drops
The original Overwatch x Diablo 4 crossover challenges return for this event. Therefore, you have another chance to earn free rewards from 2023. You can also unlock a brand-new “Crab with a Knife” Weapon Charm. To complete these challenges, the Trials of Sanctuary PvE mode might make a comeback. Still, Blizzard has not officially confirmed this specific detail.
Meanwhile, Overwatch Season 2 Twitch Drops are already live and will run until May 10, 2026. You simply need to watch any channel in the Overwatch category to start earning.
- Watch for 2 hours: Earn the new Lilith Blade Weapon Charm, the returning Wolf Pup Weapon Charm, and a Battle Pass Tier Skip.
- Watch for 8 hours total: Unlock a free Common and Epic Loot Box. These boxes technically offer a chance to drop the original Diablo 4 Legendary skins for free.
Expanding the Blizzard Universe
These two iconic franchises share a rich history of collaborations. Past crossovers gave players Demon Hunter Sombra in 2018 and Demon Orisa in 2019. Now, the Lord of Hatred event deepens that connection further.
Interestingly, this crossover arrives amidst recent credible leaks. Rumors suggest four new Overwatch heroes will debut later in 2026. Reportedly, these additions will tie into the upcoming “Reign of Talon” storyline.
