Yesterday, May 17, 2026, marked a historic milestone for Pakistani esports. 4thrives Esports completely conquered the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 1 South Asia Finals. They fought through extreme weather and fierce international competition right on their home turf at the Lahore Expo Center.
Ultimately, they made the entire nation proud. The Pakistani squad secured the championship title, the massive $9,000 top prize, and a direct ticket to the Main Event in Jakarta. Previously, 4thrives also made history by becoming the first Pakistani PUBG Mobile team to qualify for the prestigious Esports World Cup (EWC) in 2025.
4thrives: The Comeback Kings
The 234-point victory did not come easy. 4thrives, featuring the elite roster of IQ, FALAK, T24OP, and HUZAIFA, started strong with a 19-kill Chicken Dinner in Match 1. However, Nepal’s Horaa Esports quickly stole the spotlight. Horaa went on a devastating run and secured three consecutive wins in Matches 4, 5, and 6.
Consequently, 4thrives faced a severe point deficit mid-tournament. They had to dig deep to survive. The Pakistani team answered back with a monstrous late-tournament surge. They claimed decisive victories in Matches 13, 16, and an emphatic 17-kill win in Match 18. This aggressive counter-attack permanently shut down Horaa’s momentum and locked in the regional crown.
Furthermore, 4thrives dominated the individual awards. FALAK secured the Finals MVP title and a $500 bonus. Meanwhile, HUZAIFA earned the Most Eliminations in a Match award, proving their absolute mechanical superiority in the lobby.
The Heartbreak for DRS GAMING
While 4thrives dominated the top spot, the fight for the third and final qualifying ticket to Jakarta became an absolute bloodbath.
Trained to Kill (T2K) and DRS GAMING fought a desperate battle that came down to the final moments of Game 19. DRS GAMING secured a massive 1st place finish with 7 eliminations in the final match. However, T2K played a brilliantly calculated game of survival. They secured 2nd place in that exact same match.
This strategic placement kept T2K ahead by a razor-thin two-point margin. They finished with 180 points, narrowly beating DRS GAMING’s 178 points. As a result, T2K secured their ticket to Indonesia, leaving a heartbroken DRS behind.
