Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received two electronic traffic fines while personally driving his vehicle on separate occasions in Karachi.
Karachi traffic police sources confirmed that Bilawal Bhutto was issued an e-challan on 20 February at Jinnah Signal for not wearing his seatbelt while driving.
A second e-challan was issued to the same vehicle on 31 December 2025 at Baloch Colony Bridge on Shahrah-e-Faisal for exceeding the permitted speed limit.
On both cited occasions, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was himself behind the wheel, according to traffic police sources who confirmed the details to 24 News reporters.
The PPP Chairman had inaugurated Shahrah-e-Bhutto in Karachi the previous day and arrived at the inauguration ceremony driving the same vehicle himself once more.
In October 2025, the Sindh provincial government officially launched the e‑challan system in Karachi, aiming to improve transparency, fairness, and efficiency.
Under this new system, traffic police officials no longer stop vehicles for on‑the‑spot fines, as violations are monitored through CCTV cameras citywide.
