The City Traffic Police Lahore has introduced a mobile application, “RASTA,” enabling citizens to access real-time traffic advisories and select less congested routes across the city.
Officials stated the app is designed to reduce congestion, save travel time, and lower fuel consumption by providing motorists with timely route guidance and digital commuting tools.
RASTA offers multiple features including traffic updates, route planning, and travel alerts, aimed at improving commuting efficiency and supporting safer, more convenient travel across Lahore.
Authorities have encouraged motorists to adopt the application, noting that drivers who avoid its use are more likely to face congestion, longer travel times, and higher fuel costs.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to enhance urban mobility, with traffic police highlighting the importance of modern digital solutions in managing Lahore’s growing transport challenges.
The application is available for download on both Android via Google Play and iOS platforms, offering accessibility to a wide range of smartphone users.
