Rumors around the upcoming OnePlus 16 continue to shift, with new leaks adding more confusion than clarity. Different sources are now sharing conflicting details about its camera setup, making the picture less certain.
Earlier leaks suggested a 50MP main camera paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. However, a new claim from a well-known Chinese source presents a different configuration.
This latest rumor states the OnePlus 16 may feature a 200MP main camera instead of a 50MP sensor. It also suggests a 50MP periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultrawide lens. These changes directly contradict earlier reports.
At this stage, it is difficult to confirm which version is accurate. Multiple conflicting leaks often point to ongoing internal testing. OnePlus may still be experimenting with different hardware setups across prototype units.
As a result, different camera configurations could appear in the supply chain at the same time. The final decision may not yet be locked for the official spec sheet.
Beyond the camera system, the OnePlus 16 is also rumored to run on the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC. This would position the device in the high-end performance segment.
Display details have also surfaced. The phone is expected to use a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel manufactured by BOE Technology Group. The screen may support a 185Hz refresh rate, which could potentially scale up to 240Hz. It is also said to include 1mm symmetrical bezels.
Battery life could be a major highlight. The device is tipped to carry a 9,000 mAh battery. Charging support is expected to reach 120W wired and 50W wireless speeds.
For now, all specifications remain unconfirmed. The OnePlus 16 is still surrounded by early leaks, and the final hardware choices may change before launch.
