Motorola has officially launched the Edge 70 Pro+, and the device closely mirrors its global sibling. The new model is essentially a rebadged version of the Edge 70 Pro. However, it adds a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
The phone comes in three Pantone color options. These include Chicory Coffee in brown, Zinfandel in red, and Stormy Sea in blue. Each variant is designed to give the device a distinct premium look.
On the front, the Edge 70 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. It also supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. Moreover, the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. It reaches up to 5,200 nits peak local brightness for strong outdoor visibility.
The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset. It is paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. As a result, the phone is positioned for strong performance in daily use and gaming.
For photography, Motorola has equipped a triple rear camera setup. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony LYTIA-710 unit with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS support. Additionally, it includes an 81mm-equivalent 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. There is also a 50MP ultrawide camera for wider shots. Meanwhile, the front houses a 50MP selfie camera placed in a punch-hole cutout.
The device packs a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Consequently, users can expect fast charging speeds and long battery life.
On the software side, the phone runs Motorola’s Hello UI based on Android 16. It also includes the Moto AI 2.0 suite for smart features. Motorola promises 3 major Android updates and 5 years of security patches. In addition, the device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is priced at INR 47,999, which is around $501 or €432. It is available through Motorola’s official online store and partner retailers. Finally, open sales across India will begin on June 11.
