Telenor Pakistan, in collaboration with Google, the Ministry of IT & Telecommunications (MoITT), and Innovista, successfully concluded AI Seekho 2026 with a grand award ceremony organized at its headquarters in Islamabad. The initiative brought together thousands of aspiring developers, innovators, and technology enthusiasts from across the country, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s journey towards an AI-powered digital economy.
The closing ceremony was attended by Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunications, alongside Awais Vohra, CEO Telenor Pakistan; Saad Hamid, Regional Lead – Developer & Builder Ecosystem, Google; and Hisham Sarwar, CEO Innovista, along with many other industry experts who celebrated participants’ achievements and recognized winning teams for developing impactful AI-powered solutions addressing real-world challenges.
AI Seekho 2026 attracted more than 10,000 registrations for its online challenge, including 40% professional developers, reflecting the increasing interest in AI across Pakistan. The program subsequently engaged over 7,000 participants, brought together more than 2,600 teams, and generated over 600 submissions through regional and national competitions. Using Google’s latest AI technologies, participants developed applications and interactive experiences across a range of sectors, demonstrating technical proficiency, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Following regional assessments, six finalist teams advanced to the national finale to compete for prizes worth PKR 2.5 million.
Struggler Karachi secured first position, Nurture Islamabad achieved second place, while Vibronix Lahore finished third. These teams achieved remarkable success in the national AI competition by demonstrating exceptional innovation, creativity, and technical excellence.
