WhatsApp is working on a media hub for iOS that will help users find photos, videos, links, and other shared content in one place. The feature was spotted in the latest WhatsApp beta, version 26.42.10.74.
WhatsApp introduced the media hub on Mac and the web last year. Now, the company appears to be extending the feature to iPhones, making it easier to revisit content shared across conversations. The media hub will be available through the app’s settings. However, it will only include received media, excluding content users have sent and disappearing media.
The feature will offer two tabs: New for recently received items and All Media for the complete collection. Users will also be able to filter content by photos, videos, or links. Additionally, they can switch between list and grid views or tap a heart icon to find items they have reacted to.

Users will have several options for managing content from the hub. They can forward items to other chats, add reactions, star media, or open the conversation where an item was originally shared.
WhatsApp is also adding a search function to help users find specific content. The search will support photo and video captions, along with links. This should make it easier to locate older items without remembering when they arrived.
However, the media hub is still under development and is not yet available to beta testers. WhatsApp is expected to begin testing the feature in a future update, although the company has not confirmed a timeline for its wider release.
