The Sindh government has made the teaching of Sanatan Dharma compulsory for Hindu students studying in grades 3 to 5 at government primary schools across the province.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh School Education Department, the directive has been sent to all divisional directors of primary education and district education officers for immediate implementation.
Under the new policy, the Sindh Textbook Board will print Sanatan Dharma textbooks free of cost and provide them to Hindu students in government schools without any charge.
The initiative aims to ensure that Hindu students receive religious education in line with their faith as part of the primary school curriculum. Authorities have been instructed to take the necessary steps to implement the decision.
