The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has raised remuneration for examination staff by 50 percent, benefiting thousands of teachers who perform duties during examinations.
Under the new structure, the daily payment for superintendents has increased from Rs1,560 to Rs2,340, while deputy superintendents will now receive Rs1,800, up from Rs1,260.
Supervisory staff will see their daily rate rise from Rs1,000 to Rs1,500.
The revised rates also apply to other examination roles. Mobile inspectors will now be paid Rs1,620 daily, up from Rs1,080, and distributor inspectors will receive Rs1,800, an increase from Rs1,200. Practical examiners will be paid Rs2,310 per day, compared to the previous rate of Rs1,540.
Controller of Examinations at the Lahore Board, Tausif-ur-Rehman, said the increase in remuneration reflects recognition of the hard work, integrity and services of teachers involved in the examination process.
