The Sindh government has announced full digitisation of the student enrolment system across all public and government-supported schools, assigning each student a unique admission identification linked to their B-Form.
The decision was revealed by Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah during a meeting with senior officials of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Under the new system, enrolment records, attendance, academic performance, examination history and school transfers will be maintained under a single digital profile for the entire duration of a student educational journey.
The minister said the digital profile will follow each student throughout their schooling, creating a consistent and centralised record.
The meeting reviewed the proposed digital enrolment framework, integration of education data with Nadra, development of the student identification mechanism and the roadmap for province-wide rollout.
The minister said digital attendance systems for both teachers and students have already been completed and successfully implemented in several schools.
He said the Nadra-linked system will help eliminate fake and duplicate admissions while allowing education authorities to identify students who remain absent for extended periods or are at risk of dropping out.
He added that greater use of technology would reduce human intervention, improve transparency in admissions and attendance, and generate reliable data to support evidence-based educational planning, equitable resource allocation and more effective implementation of reforms.
