The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has announced the schedule for the 27th Engineering Practice Examination (EPE) Fall 2026, allowing registered engineers across Pakistan to apply for the title of Professional Engineer (PE).
According to PEC, the computer-based examination will be conducted on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The test is mandatory for registered engineers seeking professional engineer status under PEC regulations.
The examination will be held in multiple cities across the country, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, Karachi, Hyderabad/Jamshoro, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Quetta, Gwadar, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad (AJK).
PEC stated that registered engineers who graduated on or after January 15, 2008, are eligible to apply. Applicants must also have a minimum of five years of practical experience in their relevant engineering field after registration with PEC.
Candidates are required to complete 17 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, including up to 10 points from professional work experience and 7 points from other CPD activities.
Engineers who appeared in the 24th, 25th, or 26th Engineering Practice Examination but were unable to clear one section will also be eligible to reappear for the remaining part of the exam.
The examination fee for both parts is Rs. 5,000 plus bank charges, while candidates applying for a single part will pay Rs. 2,500 plus bank charges.
The deadline for submitting applications is August 15, 2026. Interested candidates can apply online through the PEC CPD portal, where they can also access the examination format, syllabus, study material, and relevant guidelines.
PEC advised applicants to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid any issues during the application process.
