iQOO will launch the Neo12 in China this month, with a 2K 185Hz AMOLED display developed by Visionox. The panel uses p-TSF technology, and the company has now shared more details about its capabilities.
The display will offer a minimum brightness of 1 nit and peak full-screen brightness of 2,200 nits. It will also feature a dedicated 2K 185Hz high-performance driver chip and new Sky Mirror luminescent material.
Additionally, the Neo12 will support 2K resolution gaming at 185 FPS through super-resolution and super-frame processing. iQOO claims this combination will be an industry first. The phone will support native 2K gaming profiles and more than 50 games running at 185 FPS.
Other gaming features include hardware-accelerated ray tracing, glare protection, an in-game camera tool, and game visual filters. The Neo12 will also include Q-flex touch control technology introduced with the iQOO 16.
iQOO has already confirmed that the Neo12 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with the Q3 gaming chip. A 9,000 mAh battery will power the device, although its charging speed remains unknown.
The smartphone will also feature a metal frame and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner built into the display. More details about its pricing and availability are expected around the China launch.
