Apple has confirmed a special event for October 13, with the tagline “Welcome home.” The company is expected to unveil several new smart home products, including a long-rumored HomePad or Home Hub, the HomePod mini 2, and a new Apple TV 4K.
The announcement follows a rumor from late September that pointed to the same event date. Apple has also released an official teaser video, offering the first confirmation of its upcoming showcase.

The rumored HomePad, or Home Hub, is expected to feature a 6-inch square display. Apple could launch two versions, with one designed for desks and countertops and another made for wall mounting. The device is also expected to feature a built-in speaker in its base, while a metal arm will hold up the screen.
All three products are expected to support Apple’s new Siri AI features. However, the company has not yet confirmed their specifications or announced which devices will be unveiled at the event.
The other two products are also overdue for updates. Apple released the original HomePod mini in 2020, while the latest Apple TV 4K arrived in 2022. The October 13 event could finally bring new versions of both devices.
