Artificial Intelligence comes under spotlight as President addresses conference on digital systems

It appears that our President is a die-hard fan of revolutionary technologies as he has consistently discussed the impact of Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing to motivate Pakistani youth to excel in science and technology sectors.

President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi has recently laid stressed upon the country’s youth to take hold of the opportunities of this modern digital communications age and excel in the fields of science and technology.

President was addressing the opening session of a two-day 2nd International Conference on Communication, Computing and Digital System which was held at Bahria University on Wednesday.

Considering the need of technologically advanced educational institutes, President called upon the country’s universities to reshape their educational curriculum in compliance with the international standards and equip the students with advanced learning standards in a way that they could easily meet industry’s future requirements. He intends to meet the Vice Chancellors of twenty-four universities to motivate them for proper training and education of our scientists. He also laid stressed that in order to achieve the goals of Naya Pakistan, we first need to prepare ourselves.

The President said with revolutions occurred in the field of science and communications and work of days now being done in minutes, the modern technology had also made the communication linkages quite easy.

While talking about his initiative in artificial intelligence and cloud education, the President assured that this step will help produce 100,000 trained people in artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

Discussing the challenges faced by cybersecurity all across the globe, the President said it should be our top priority to secure our digital systems including those in the banks and others from any sort of hacking and cyber threat.

Meanwhile, Mr. President also agreed to the fact that the study of scientific magazines remained his passion in professional life, he had a long fellowship with science and technology.

To conclude, he congratulated Bahria University’s administration for organizing such an inspirational conference on the important subject and stated that the promotion of science and technology, digital systems and communication is the need of the hour.
