Atlas Honda has hinted at entering Pakistan’s premium motorcycle segment by introducing 250cc and 500cc motorcycles, provided demand for higher-displacement bikes continues to grow.
The announcement came during the company’s MY26 corporate briefing, attended by Topline Securities, where management said increasing consumer interest in premium motorcycles, supported partly by rising overseas remittances, has encouraged the company to explore expanding its product portfolio beyond its traditional offerings.
Atlas Honda also announced plans to expand its manufacturing capacity.
The company’s current annual production capacity of 1.65 million motorcycles will increase to 2 million units per yearafter an ongoing expansion project is completed by December 2026.
The expansion is expected to cost between Rs. 5 billion and Rs. 6 billion.
According to the company, it is currently producing above its rated capacity by relying on overtime and support from its vendor network to meet strong market demand.
Atlas Honda said Pakistan’s overall two-wheeler market has recovered to approximately 2.3 million units. While sales of Chinese motorcycle brands have declined from previous highs, motorcycles with engine capacities above 100cc continue to capture a larger share of the market due to improving consumer demand.
The company stated that it currently has no plans for additional investment in electric vehicle (EV) production, as its existing facilities are sufficient to meet expected demand.
Atlas Honda also noted that it has not increased motorcycle prices over the past three years, except for adjustments resulting from government taxes and levies. The company remains optimistic that improving farm incomes will continue to support motorcycle sales across Pakistan.
