The Government of Balochistan has officially abolished the Saturday weekly holiday for all public schools across the province, restoring a six-day academic week.
According to a notification issued by the Balochistan Education Department, government schools will now remain open from Monday to Saturday, with Sunday designated as the only weekly holiday.
The revised schedule takes immediate effect and applies to all government-run schools in the province. Educational activities will now continue throughout the six working days to ensure regular academic operations.
The decision was communicated through a formal notification issued by the provincial education authorities, directing all public schools to implement the updated weekly schedule.
The move comes as provincial education departments across Pakistan continue to review school calendars and administrative policies ahead of the new academic session. Students, teachers, and school administrations in Balochistan are expected to follow the revised timetable with immediate effect.
