The Government of Pakistan provides educational stipends to students through the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program. This initiative promotes school enrollment. Furthermore, it actively reduces dropout rates among children from low-income families. Under this active program, the government distributes quarterly education stipends. These funds go directly to the children of active BISP Kafalat Program beneficiaries.
Who is Eligible for the Stipend?
Applicants must meet strict criteria to qualify for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program. First, the mother must be a registered and active beneficiary of the BISP Kafalat Program. Second, the child must possess a valid NADRA B-Form or Child Registration Certificate (CRC). Officials mandate verification of the child’s B-Form through the NADRA database for enrollment. Finally, the child must fall within the required age limit for their respective education level.
| Education Level | Age Requirement |
| Primary Education | 4 to 12 years |
| Secondary Education | 8 to 18 years |
| Higher Secondary Education | 13 to 22 years |
How to Register in Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program
Parents or guardians can easily register their children. Follow these exact steps to secure enrollment.
- Visit the nearest BISP Field Office with the child.
- Submit the child’s NADRA-issued B-Form/CRC. Also, provide the mobile number currently registered with BISP.
- The BISP officer will register the child. Subsequently, they will issue an enrollment slip.
- Take the enrollment slip to the child’s school. The school administration must verify and stamp it. This slip must include the child’s class and section, the school’s name, the class teacher’s details, and the head teacher’s verification.
- Submit the verified enrollment slip back to the BISP office. Following this final verification, the government releases the education stipend.
During enrollment, parents or guardians must carry specific documents. Bring the BISP beneficiary mother’s CNIC, the child’s NADRA-issued B-Form/CRC, and the teacher-verified school or college admission slip.
Stipend Amounts & Attendance Rules
Enrolled children must maintain at least a 70% attendance rate at their school or college. Otherwise, they risk losing the financial support. Students who fail to meet this attendance requirement may stop receiving the stipend entirely.
The program distributes different quarterly stipend amounts. These amounts vary based on the student’s gender and education level.
| Education Level | Boys | Girls |
| Primary (Class 1–5) | Rs. 2,500 | Rs. 3,000 |
| Secondary (Class 6–10) | Rs. 3,500 | Rs. 4,000 |
| Higher Secondary (Class 11–12) | Rs. 4,500 | Rs. 5,000 |
Additionally, the program provides a special bonus for female students. Girls receive a one-time graduation bonus of Rs. 3,000. They earn this upon the successful completion of their primary education. Ultimately, the government provides this additional incentive to encourage girls to continue their education.
