First, let us look at the bigger picture. Crimson Desert suffered a rocky launch. Mixed initial reviews caused a massive 30% drop in company shares. Therefore, Pearl Abyss aggressively patched the game. They pushed rapid-fire updates to address player frustrations. They even added endgame content like the popular “Re-blockade” enhancement. As a result, the game recovered beautifully. The player base surged, and Crimson Desert rocketed past major sales milestones.
Crucial Cross-Save & Combat Fixes
Now, update 1.15 tightens the core experience. Primarily, it fixes a frustrating cross-save bug. Patch 1.14 originally introduced the cross-save feature for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Unfortunately, players experienced random crashes when transferring their data across platforms. This latest update eliminates those crashes completely. Consequently, players can seamlessly jump between platforms again.
Furthermore, Pearl Abyss tweaked several combat mechanics. The Wyvern can finally be summoned in midair. Additionally, the “Aerial Roll” travels its proper distance when chained after an “Aerial Maneuver.” Furthermore, the developers stopped Kliff from sinking into the ground when using the “Blinding Flash Finisher” on slopes. Also, the “Axiom Force” crosshair will no longer incorrectly appear on out-of-range targets.
Quality of Life & Crimson Desert World Adjustments
Meanwhile, the patch addresses the quieter side of Pywel. Farmers can finally grow and harvest crops without them randomly breaking. Similarly, anglers will not lose the large fish on their backs when they collect catches from a trap.
Equipment management also received a fix. Players using Oongka or Damiane can now correctly save the lock status on their equipped gear. Furthermore, you can finally attack while riding the quest-objective bear during the “Scattered Honey Jars” quest. Moreover, Pearl Abyss relocated the “Mace of Ambition” to make it easier to find. Finally, they fixed transparent bosses, HDR UI transparency bugs, and disappearing stolen wagons.
Major DLC Teased for Gamescom
While update 1.15 focuses purely on bug fixes, new content is brewing. Will Powers, the Director of Marketing and PR at Pearl Abyss, recently teased a major upcoming DLC. He kept the exact timeframe vague. However, he emphasized that the studio intentionally labeled this project as a full DLC for a specific reason. Therefore, expectations are high. With Gamescom right around the corner, fans eagerly wait to see what Pearl Abyss reveals next.
