Samsung has announced the new flagships of the Galaxy Note series at its UNPACKED event. This time around, however, Samsung has introduced not one but two handsets, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. With a completely revamped design and powerful upgrades, both handsets will certainly give a tough competition to rivals in the market.
Samsung has pulled back strong after the disaster with the Note 7 and it must be noted, that the previous two Note flagships have had great sales. Whether this time will be the same remains to be seen. Here are the specifications of both phones:
Design and Display:
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 features a 6.3 inches Infinity-O AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and HDR+ panel. In comparison, the Note 10+ features a 6.8 inches Infinity-O AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels and HDR+ panel. The Note 10 panel has a pixel density of 401 ppi whereas the Note 10+ has a pixel density of 498 ppi density.
Talking about the design, both phones are available in 3 colours: Aura Glow, Aura White, Aura Black. With slimmed bezels and apparent vertical growth of both phones, the Samsung design team has certainly revamped the new flagships. Like the Galaxy S10, the Note 10 series has the same punch-hole camera setup but this time at the centre of the display. There is no headphone jack. Both phones have a glass design with metal curves and the back of the phones portray vibrant colours when exposed to light.
Camera Setup:
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a 10MP dual-pixel camera at the front and a triple camera setup at the back: 12MP with dual-pixel wide lens camera, 12MP telephoto lens with 2 times optical zoom and 16MP with 12mm ultra-wide lens. The front camera also features dual video calling capability and HDR with 1440 pixels video recording at 30 frames per second.
Processor and Battery:
Samsung has introduced its new chipset called the Exynos 9825 which features a combination of 2x Mongoose M4 cores clocked at 2.74 GHz, 2x Cortex A75 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and 4x Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz. For high performance and resource-heavy tasks, the Mongoose cores will be used whereas for battery optimization, the 4 Cortex A55 cores will be used.
For USA and China, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 will be used at large whereas the Exynos 9825 will be available in EMEA side.
The Galaxy Note 10 has a 3,500 mAh Li-Ion battery with fast charging support whereas the Note 10+ has a 4300 mAh battery.
RAM and Storage:
The Note 10 comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB non-expandable storage whereas the Note 10+ comes with 12GB RAM. and 256/512 GB expandable storage.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has been priced at 168,820 PKR (£869.00) and 194,075 PKR (£999.00) in the global market.
