A comprehensive evaluation of the official gazette reveals a solid performance from second-year intermediate students.
- In total, 104,838 candidates enrolled for the HSSC Part-II examinations.
- From the total registrations, 103,178 students appeared, while 1,660 candidates remained absent.
- Exactly 87,364 candidates cleared the exams, locking the cumulative pass rate at an impressive 85.95% with an overall 3.73 GPA.
- Meanwhile, 15,391 candidates failed to qualify.
- The board reported 439 Unfair Means (UFM) cases, resolving each case through fair hearings.
- Furthermore, FBISE placed 1,534 cases under Result Later on (R.L.) and withheld 420 results (RW) for eligibility and fee reconciliations.

Group-Wise Performance & Gender Breakdown
The salient features show substantial performance gaps across study disciplines and genders. Regular students secured far higher success margins than private candidates. In addition, female candidates outpaced male candidates in almost every academic category.
The ‘Pre-Medical’ group led all major fields with a massive 96.42% overall pass percentage. Regular female medical aspirants achieved an exceptional 97.17% pass rate (4.98 GPA), whereas regular male medical candidates secured 94.44% (4.64 GPA). Similarly, the ‘Pre-Engineering’ group posted an outstanding 95.49% pass percentage, with regular female candidates leading at 96.23%.
However, male candidates in the ‘Humanities’ and ‘Commerce’ streams registered noticeably lower passing numbers at 78.96% and 78.92%, respectively.

- Urdu Compulsory-II: 94,715 appeared; 93,894 passed (99.13%).
- Pakistan Studies: 94,341 appeared; 90,374 passed (95.80%).
- Chemistry-II: 36,891 appeared; 32,119 passed (87.06%).
- Physics-II: 70,273 appeared; 60,453 passed (86.03%).
- Computer Science-II: 42,290 appeared; 36,140 passed (85.46%).
- Biology-II: 27,633 appeared; 25,019 passed (90.54%).
- Mathematics-II: 51,032 appeared; 32,062 passed (62.83%).
Notably, Mathematics-II recorded the highest failure volume among major science subjects, with nearly 19,000 candidates unable to pass.

According to board notifications, failing candidates, absent students, and registered fresh candidates qualify directly for the 2nd Annual Examination 2026. Furthermore, candidates who want to improve their division or GPA can reappear in any specific paper, complete Part-I, Part-II, or the entire examination.
Regular students will receive their official result cards through their schools and colleges, while private candidates will receive their credentials at their home addresses or via SMS.
