Apple’s next-generation iPhone Air 2 is expected to launch next spring alongside the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e. Several leaks have already pointed to major upgrades, including a slimmer design and dual rear cameras. Now, a new leak has revealed more details about the phone’s expected specifications.
According to the leak, the iPhone Air 2 will feature a 6.55-inch flat OLED display. The panel is expected to offer a standard aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1.5K+ resolution.
The device is also tipped to use Apple’s 2nm A20-series chipset. The same chip family was introduced with the iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Duo. This could bring improved performance and power efficiency to the slimmer iPhone.
Camera upgrades are another major part of the expected changes. The iPhone Air 2 is rumored to feature two 48MP rear cameras. These will include a wide sensor and an ultrawide sensor, replacing the single rear camera on its predecessor.
Battery capacity is also expected to increase. An earlier report suggested the phone could pack a battery of around 3,500mAh or higher. However, Apple has yet to confirm the exact capacity.
Other leaks suggest the iPhone Air 2 will measure just 5.2mm in thickness. It is also expected to feature Apple’s latest N2 wireless chipset and C2 modem. The overall design will reportedly remain similar to the original iPhone Air.
Apple has not officially announced the iPhone Air 2 yet. More details about its hardware and launch plans are likely to emerge closer to its expected spring 2027 debut.
